Forest School Blog

Every week, pupils spend time outside the classroom with the Forest School teacher. This blog will be updated regularly to share some of their exciting learning.

    Friday 13th October -Year 1

    Today we toasted marshmallows over a campfire, they were very sticky and yummy!  We also made mud monsters, inspired by 'The Gruffalo'.

    Thursday 12th October - Year 5

    We all loved cooking on the fire!  We had apples dipped in sugar, marshmallows and popcorn.  Everyone set light to their own fire, it was hard work but worth it!

    Friday 6th October

    Today we filled the sandpit with leaves and played loads of games in it!  We made stick people and built homes for them.       ​

    We spent a beautiful afternoon in the woods today.  We made woodland sprites and built shelters for them.

    Friday 22nd September

    Today we found an enormous tree with huge fungi.  On a log there was another fungus that looked like sea coral.  In the woods, we found a den to play in!   ​

    Today we tested our new waterproof all in ones.  We played in the rain, rolled logs and made 'sticky crowns' from leaves we collected.     ​

    Today we started setting up our new Forest School area.  We found loads of stuff!!  Blue fungi, skeleton leaves, centipedes and a toad!
