We are very excited to announce that on Monday 24th November, we will be welcoming Steve Williams, a Welsh author now residing in Surrey, to Brookwood Primary School! Steve is the writer of the hilarious and action-packed new children's book Teachers vs Aliens vs the Kids, and he will be visiting us to deliver a fun, interactive presentation for pupils in Years 1-6 from 10.30-11.30am.
During his visit, Steve will talk about how he became an author, share the inspiration behind his new book, and entertain the children with his trademark humour and storytelling. It promises to be an engaging and memorable morning for all our pupils.
Book Purchase Option
Before Steve Williams visits, Parents and Carers have the opportunity to purchase a signed copy of Teachers vs Aliens vs the Kids for £7.99. If you would like to do this, it needs to be paid by Tuesday 19th November in order to allow the publisher, Duckworth Books, to ensure there is enough stock available on the morning of the visit.
Payments can be made via Arbor, under 'Trips'.
After the presentation, Steve will personally hand out signed copies to pupils who have purchased a book.
Optional Activity
To get everyone excited ahead of the visit, pupils are invited to take part in a fun "Doodle Alien" activity. Activity sheets will be available from class teachers and handed out this Friday. Steve will select some of the children's creations to display and share during his presentation!
