Yesterday the children in Bumblebees Class had a hands on symmetry session.  They investigated lines of symmetry in 2D shapes by cutting out and folding these.  They discovered that shapes with a line of symmetry folded over exactly.  They then sorted their shapes and also explored whether there was a link with the number of sides and number of lines of symmetry.  There was quite a buzz from the bees today!
