Three children from Owls attended the ROAR Final at Wakehurst Place on Friday 6th December along with about twenty other schools. ROAR is organised by ‘7 Billion Ideas’ in conjunction with Surrey Lions, and is a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) initiative for primary aged children to invent anything which would make our world a better, happier or healthier place.
The Brookwood team came up with the idea of a Sideways Lift, full of fun and entertainment aimed at people with mobility issues to help them move around our world. Whilst they did not win any prizes they had a wonderful day, presented beautifully and received amazing comments about their display from other teams, judges and Lions. Well done to everyone who took part.
