School Garden Update
The school garden and grounds have been enjoying the sunshine of the last few weeks. If you happen to be passing the school on your daily exercise, you will be surprised at just how wonderful the grounds look. Bluebells, Grape Hyacinth, Forsythia and our lovely flowering Cherry trees are all in bloom, displaying their beautiful spring colours.
The school garden is also looking really good. Mrs Coe has been watering the peas, beans and strawberry plants and topped up the soil on the potato bags, they are now almost at the top! The runner beans also had to be tied to their poles (to give them a bit of support) as they were growing so well. The potatoes we are growing in the “Under the Soil” experiment are also still going strong with an amazing root system.
And finally, we now have a beautiful bug house attached to the shed as well as a wind chime to listen to while we are gardening (thank you Owls for these two suggestions).
