School Garden Update
The school garden has really enjoyed the warm, sunny weather we have had which is ideal for all the plants that were put in.
As you can see from the photographs some of the peas and strawberries are now in flower. The potatoes are putting on lots of top growth and look very comfortable in their bags and the runner beans are continuing to climb up their poles. Which plant do you think will get to the top first? The potatoes that we are also growing in the “Under the Soil” experiment, have developed an amazing root system with the beginnings of baby potatoes appearing.
Last week the children in school planted out some sunflowers and potted up a couple of the pots at the front of the school with annual flowers. They should look great as the summer continues, ready to welcome children and visitors back to the school.
