School Garden Update
Only a brief update this week. The peas have now all been harvested and have been distributed around various Year 3 children, who were the class that sowed the original seed and planted out the plants. They grew well in the raised beds but next year we will have to remember to give them more space.
With the potatoes harvested, the next crop to start picking will be our runner beans which seem to love where they have been planted and we already have a few beans ready to pick!
We have been able to pick a few strawberries from our plants but the birds still seem to be enjoying them despite the netting we placed on top to protect them.
Finally, I hope you noticed our colourful planters at the front of the school which have been welcoming children back to school.
If you have some photos of plants you have grown from seed in your garden, why not send them in to firstname.lastname@example.org.
