Uniform Expectations

 

Please ensure that all items that your child wears for school are clearly marked with your child's name.

All uniform items, of good quality and reasonably priced, are available from Griffiths by Valentino at Knaphill but parents may seek exact alternatives from other suppliers if they wish for all items except the items of uniform with a school logo i.e. sweatshirts, polo tops and PE T-shirt.

Green round-neck sweatshirt with school logo

or green cardigan with school logo

Green round or V-neck sweatshirt with school logo

Top

Gold polo shirt (plain or with school logo)

White shirt with collar (short or long sleeved) and green/gold striped tie

 

 

All Years

Bottoms     

Grey trousers (not cargo style)

or grey knee-length skirt / pinafore / shorts

or green/white checked knee-length gingham dress (summer only)

(Nursery only) Black jogging bottoms

Shoes

Black polishable shoes (no trainers, boots, sandals or high heels)

Socks

White or grey socks, ankle-length or just below the knee

Grey or black tights

Bag

Green book bag (available with school logo) or plain rucksack

Hat

Green hat / cap in school for summer months (optional, available with school logo) or plain alternative

Green winter hat (optional, available with school logo) or plain alternative

Coat

A warm/waterproof coat

A Brookwood school coat with logo is available

 

 

Main School (not Nursery)

PE Kit               

  • Green PE t-shirt with school logo
  • Black tracksuit top
  • Black tracksuit bottoms, jogging bottoms or full-length leggings (no logos, stripes, patterns or branding) or;
  • Black shorts for summer, no shorter than halfway to knee
  • Plain black or white trainers for outdoor PE

Exemptions

Brookwood Primary School welcomes children from all backgrounds and faith communities.  If there are serious reasons, for example on religious grounds, why a parent/carer wants their child to wear clothes that differ from the school uniform, the school will consider such requests.  If a parent/carer would like to request an exception to the uniform policy, they should speak with the Headteacher.

The school reserves the right to decide if a pupil is unsafely or unsuitably dressed.
